An expert I'm not

I am still young and stupid

Yet things I have seen

For people I know

Disappointed they become

Myself included

Slowly losing hope

you fall into compliance

accepting the rules

Your great potential

will never be fully used

The spark will fade out

I've seen this happen

many a time and once more

you are not alone

Still I do not know

if maturity kicks in

Or you just get numb

But after a while

somehow it barely matters

You're so used to it

I don't give counsel

Only the common pattern
